Useful measurement, limited collection.
This MVP is designed to measure whether the catalog helps people find coffee while collecting as little personal information as practical.
Information collected
The service records catalog search events, structured filter choices, result counts, product and roaster views, and outbound purchase clicks. Analytics excludes the text you type into search. A random anonymous session identifier connects these events; purchase links retain only catalog filter context. Basic technical diagnostics help identify service failures. Catalog source data comes from public roaster websites selected for the index.
How information is used
Usage events help improve search quality, identify zero-result searches, measure catalog usefulness, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot failures. Outbound clicks are used to understand whether a listing helped someone reach a roaster.
What is not collected by this site
Beanroam does not process coffee purchases, card details, shipping addresses, or fulfillment information. Those interactions happen on the independent roaster's website and are governed by that roaster's privacy policy.
Retention and requests
Analytics and operational records should be retained only as long as needed for the purposes described above. Account-specific access, deletion, and contact procedures will be published before consumer accounts or saved searches launch.
